Both boys are in Cub Scouts this year, and so far, both of them are loving it. Each fall, there is a Mom & Me Camp Out at Camp Ho Non Wah on Wadmalaw.... last year Jackson and I were on our way when he came down with a bad bout of the tummy bug. This year I made it with both of my boys. Most days, this is my thing. I love camping out. I love all things camp. But, I have to tell you honestly, I was less than excited to go. I was exhausted from a crazy week, they boys weren't really looking forward to it, and it was supposed to rain. Buckets. I have never camped out in the rain without ending up totally waterlogged. So, a night out, wet, with whiny boys, one who is deathly afraid of thunderstorms, and no sleep... it was not a night I was looking forward to.
But really? Look at this place!! An amazing campsite on a beautiful little creek! A brand new tent! Two boys that LOVED running around with a zillion other little boys! And very little rain!
