I have to admit, I have been putting off posting about my most recent boat trip with Dad. Not because I didn't have an incredible time, but more because I haven't been able to find the right words to sum it all up. It was an amazing time, and for some reason, it has affected me (in a good way!) more than I expected.

So, while I am going to try my best, I am going to suggest you read
Caroline's blog along with mine. As of this minute, I haven't read her account of the trip, not wanting it to change what I post. I am also going to go heavy on the pictures, as I think they will definitely be worth more than my words!

Incredible account! Looks like my kind of adventure - I can tell by the pictures ya'll had fun. What a wonderful birthday gift.
The little light houses remind me of some of the fort/castles that are on the Rhine in Germany.
I still am confused as to why riding on the bow is illegal. Is it that part of the river or the kind of boat?
I think it has to do with speed. It isn't a "bow rider", so there are no real seats on the bow. So, if you are going fast (like we were) and someone falls overboard, it could potentially be dangerous. However, I have never felt like I was in any danger up there!!!
I had a BLAST and you did a fabulous job recounting our trip! Thanks so much for inviting me to come with you! Hugs!
Buying a boat large enought to travel on; $$$.
Fuel, maintenance, dockage, etc.; $$
Sharing my adventures with you; PRICELESS!!!
Thanks for joining me.
